1st place - Antares Veterinary Centre  І  Tenerife
Negro is a two-and-a-half-year-old male cat, positive for feline leukaemia virus (FeLV), who presented with an extensive cranial wound with necrosis and a foul odour secondary to an abscess. Treatment included debridement, cleansing with chlorhexidine and topical application of Omnimatrix cream. The prognosis was favourable, with rapid granulation tissue formation and complete epithelialisation observed in approximately 8 weeks.

2nd place - Keinu Veterinary Clinic  І  Baquio
Pomelo, a 5-year-old FIV-positive male cat, presented with an open abscess at the base of his tail. The abscess worsened rapidly, with skin necrosis affecting a third of the back, easily spread by multidrug-resistant bacteria. Following debridement of the wound and appropriate antibiotic treatment, the condition improved rapidly with washes using diluted chlorhexidine, Omnimatrix and absorbent carbon dressings, until complete resolution in less than 10 weeks.

3rd place - Veter 7  І  Manresa
A stray cat with an abscess, likely caused by a scratch or bite from another cat. The animal received broad-spectrum antibiotic therapy and the wound was treated with Omnimatrix, healing within 13 days.
